Penetration testing: the foundation of an effective cyber security strategy
In an era of increasing digital threats, penetration tests (also known as “ethical hacking”) are becoming an indispensable part of an organization’s comprehensive protection against data leaks and cyber attacks. They help identify potential security vulnerabilities and understand how to effectively defend against real attacks.

What are penetration tests?
A penetration test is a controlled, simulated attack on an organization’s infrastructure, the purpose of which is to test the actual resilience of security systems and processes. These tests are most often conducted by cybersecurity specialists, known as “white hat hackers” or ethical hackers. During the test, they try to use known techniques and tools used by cybercriminals to discover any weaknesses in the organization.
Once the vulnerabilities are found, the security team can make the appropriate fixes and improvements, significantly reducing the risk of actual data confidentiality breaches.
A comprehensive approach to cybersecurity
In-depth security analyses that simulate real-world cyberattacks allow us to identify vulnerabilities in your systems before real cybercriminals exploit them, giving you peace of mind knowing your business is protected. Our penetration testing includes:
Network Infrastructure Testing
Comprehensive evaluation of network devices, servers, and security controls. We examine how individual infrastructure elements work together, identifying possible attack vectors and vulnerabilities.
Web Application Testing
In-depth assessment of web applications for security vulnerabilities, conducted in accordance with the OWASP methodology. We analyze, among others, code injection vulnerabilities (SQL injection) and cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
Cloud Infrastructure Testing
Security assessment of AWS, Azure and GCP environments. We verify the correctness of cloud configurations, access mechanisms and security to protect your infrastructure from attacks.
Why is it worth conducting penetration testing?
Better understanding of infrastructure
Penetration testing reveals the actual state of security in networks, applications and security procedures, enabling rapid identification of areas for improvement.
Preventing data breaches
Early detection of vulnerabilities avoids costly and reputationally damaging incidents, protecting the company from the consequences of a data leak.
Compliance with laws and regulations
Regular testing enables you to demonstrate compliance with applicable standards (e.g. GDPR, PCI DSS, HIPAA) and helps avoid possible sanctions.
Raising employee awareness
Simulated attacks educate staff on how to recognize threats and use tools responsibly, greatly strengthening the organization’s security.
Five stages of penetration testing
Preparation – We establish the scope of the test, the objectives and the principles of cooperation. We define the systems to be tested and the methods of attacks.
Reconnaissance – We gather information about the target infrastructure. We analyze public data sources, scan the network to determine potential attack vectors.
Penetration – Using discovered weaknesses, our specialists try to penetrate the company’s systems. Attacks may include methods such as SQL injection, phishing, password cracking or cross-site scripting.
Reporting – Once testing is complete, we prepare a report listing any vulnerabilities found and recommending fixes. We also assess the risk level associated with each vulnerability.
Remediation – The organization implements recommended patches and updates. Our experts restore the system to its pre-test state and support in verifying that all detected vulnerabilities have been eliminated.
Penetration Testing Methods
Black Box – Hackers have no knowledge of the infrastructure of the tested company.
Gray Box – Partial knowledge of systems and networks.
White Box – Full insight into systems architecture, including source code, configuration and documentation.
External testing – Simulation of attacks from outside the organization (e.g. on www servers).
Internal testing – Simulation of attacks from an employee or person with internal access to resources.
